Dear friends and loved ones,
Our sweetest Annie has just welcomed her and Nick’s new baby to the world on May 24. Unfortunately, after a long and difficult labor, a c-section was needed.
The cesarean incision has become infected and after multiple trips to the emergency room to treat the infection, Annie had to undergo emergency surgery on June 6 to stop spread.
Annie is now being monitored in the hospital until the situation is stable.
We are hoping this is the last of the surprise emergencies – However the recovery ahead is now considerably harder and longer than the little family could have prepared for.
We are starting this fundraiser so that Annie and Nick have the opportunity to extend paternal leave, giving them the necessary time and resources to help Annie heal.
