Support Dakota’s Journey to Regain Sight

This is Dakota. He is a 14-year-old non-verbal autistic boy who has recently lost some vision. Currently, he only sees shadows and shapes. He is scheduled to go to Hershey Medical Center at the end of June for a 5-hour operation to restore some, if any, sight. He has 2 detached retinas and 2 cataracts. His left eye is the worst; it will require draining fluid, scraping it, removing the lens, putting a silicone drop in, and a band. He has a 4-week recovery with a week of bed rest. Then, in 3 months, he returns to have the drop removed, but his journey may require many more trips for surgeries to correct it. I’m not one for handouts, but I’m a single mom and doing this pretty much alone. I’ll be taking 4 weeks off while he recovers. Our car is ready to blow up. I don’t know what else to do. Any and all help is appreciated during this difficult time. Thank you and a ton of prayers, please.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
