Help George on the road to recovery

My name is Jessica and I am doing this on behalf of my husband George. About a month ago he began having some low back pain that kept worsening. His PCP tried a few different things with no relief for him. She then ordered a STAT MRI which showed extreme narrowing of his spinal canal in the lumbar region and caused 2 discs to bulge out and compressed a bundle of nerves running to his left leg. For the past few weeks, he has been barely able to walk due to this, let alone work since he runs heavy equipment for a living. He has been unable to go to work for the last few weeks due to the extreme pain and the tingling in his back and leg. The spinal/neurosurgeon said he needs a lumbar sacral fusion with rods placed and that he will be off for recovery for 12 weeks. This man never takes time off, never complains, but this pain has taken him out of the game. Anyone that knows him knows just how hard he works on a daily basis. He is that main bread winner of our family as I just graduated college and he took care of bills. I am doing the best I can but I cannot handle bills with my income alone. He is unable to get short term disability because the insurance company told him it isn’t in our plan, so he has been and will continue to be without pay through recovery. He has been inpatient at Bronson for a few days and will continue to be until surgery as we cannot control his pain at home. This will also have him accruing a pretty large medical bill on top of it all. His pride does not allow him to ask for help so on his behalf, I am making this to ask for anyone that is able to, please consider donating to help take the stress of paying bills off of him. I am working full time but its just not enough without his added income. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need and I would love for people to help rally around him and help ease the burden of everyday expenses and now medical bills so he can focus on his recovery.
