Since November of last year, our son Jax has been battling seizures that have turned our world upside down. Despite being on three different medications, the seizures continue to affect his daily life and well-being.
After months of tests, doctor visits, and exploring every option, his medical team has determined that brain surgery is the next necessary step toward giving him a chance at a healthier, seizure-free life.
As parents, it is heartbreaking to see him endure so much at such a young age, but we remain hopeful and strong for him. We are now preparing for the surgery, which will involve not only the procedure itself but also ongoing treatments, follow-up care, travel, time away from work, and additional medical expenses.
