Adrian is a 37-year-old who was diagnosed with renal kidney failure in 2019 (at 31 years old). This disease came out of nowhere, and the cause was unknown until recently (May 2025). Adrian has membranous glomerulopathy (a disease that affects the filters in the kidneys and damages them).
Adrian has been hospitalized many times since being diagnosed. During COVID, family was not able to see or spend time with him during his hard trials, leaving him to be by himself or his wife spending her lunch breaks outside of his window while giving him words of support over the phone. He has been in the ICU fighting for his life for 2 weeks and had to learn how to walk once he started his recovery process. Being on dialysis 3 times a week while still working a full-time job, pushing his body more than he should. Many doctors have told him that he needs to stop working, but he knows he has a family to support, so he refuses to listen to those suggestions. Adrian has a 6-year-old daughter who is one of the main reasons why Adrian continues to fight this battle against his numerous odds. He has a loving wife whom he has been married to for 7 years, together for 13.
For the most part, Adrian has been maintaining a balanced lifestyle until August of 2024. While he was at work, he wasn’t feeling too well, so he checked himself into the ER. The next day, on his way to his dialysis treatment, Adrian coded (went into cardiac arrest) and had to be resuscitated. Thankfully, the nurses were able to bring him back and took good care of him.
Recently, Adrian has been accepted on 2 transplant lists, and his time for receiving a transplant will be coming soon.
We are asking for donations to help pay for the expenses that insurance will not cover and the recovery process (meds, room & board, equipment, etc.) for his needs. Any gift given is a blessing and greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading his story and an even bigger thank you for your donation.
