Rally for Suzanne: A Ramp and Prosthetic Fund

Hi, my name is Rose. I am a longtime friend of Suzanne. I have watched Suzanne struggle every day financially and personally. She was born with KTS, which stands for Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome, in which all her arteries and veins on her right side do not work. She has lived the majority of her life in a hospital, dealing with blood clots and pulmonary embolisms. She went septic a couple of years ago and ended up on life support and dialysis. At that time, we did not think she would survive, but she beat all the obstacles and came out of a coma. She had to make a decision to amputate her right leg to keep her alive. That’s not where her story ends.

Suzanne went through a very nasty divorce. Her ex-husband did not comply with any court orders. He was ordered to pay all of her medical bills and a spousal alimony of $20,000 a month. He never gave her one penny. She has been struggling since then. She is still in court, and her attorneys are trying to address this.

Suzanne moved into an apartment that was 17 steps up, and it was really hard for her. She couldn’t get out of the apartment without help. She’d have to have many people come and pick her up with the wheelchair and bring her down every time she had to go somewhere. Now, she found an apartment that works a little bit better for her. There are only five steps in front of this house, but she still does not have a ramp. VNS is stating that it’s not medically necessary, and now VNS is stating she does not need a prosthetic because that’s not medically necessary. We need to help Suzanne get a ramp and be able to get the prosthetic she needs.

I have known Suzanne for over 20 years, and she’s a wonderful person with a kind heart and always ready to jump in and help others. Now it’s our time to help her during these rough times.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
