This is Ally-Cat, she is an amazing 11 year old girl who has some challenges with social situations. These situations have caused a lot of trouble for her and her interactions with others, including struggling with friends, appropriate conversations in appropriate spaces, and challenges with managing emotions, especially regarding her siblings. She has had mental health screenings, and one of the things that was recommended was a social skills group, and I found an AMAZING one that offers excellent neuro-affirming care, which is exactly best case scenario for what this kiddo needs.
Unfortunately, insurance does not currently cover the costs of these sessions, and we cannot afford to pay 90$ a week out of pocket, so I am asking for help. The goal is set to pay for 1 year of social skills classes, with the goal being improved social skills and a higher level of confidence for her as she starts to enter middle school.
Ally loves being outdoors, reading, listening to music, and most of all, playing on finch (a mental health app) and being around people. She is a kindhearted kid that really tries her best, but sometimes she struggles to be true to herself. She wants to do these social skills classes, and has been asking for over a year at this point, and I know she would benefit from them. She does amazing in school, loves her teachers and staff, and gets along with all of the faculty. She is motivated and loving, understanding and really just doing everything she can to learn how to be a good human while learning how to navigate a world that was not made for her.
