Hi, my name is Crystal, and I’m reaching out with hope and humility.
After years of chronic illness, I’ve finally received a diagnosis—and a chance for healing. On July 31, 2025, I’m scheduled for a robotic-assisted partial gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y reconstruction and hiatal hernia repair. This life-saving procedure will address a sliding hiatal hernia that’s been damaging my diaphragm and trapping the sphincter between my stomach and esophagus.
For years, I’ve silently suffered. The hernia has caused stomach acid to travel up and aspirate into my lungs while I sleep, impacting my ability to breathe, eat, and live fully. This condition is painful, frightening, and deeply exhausting.
The cost of the surgery and necessary care is overwhelming—up to $60,000. While insurance covers part of it, I still face major expenses:
Pre-op testing and medical clearances
Specialized nutrition appointments
Hospital and surgical co-pays
Post-op care and recovery
