Hello my name is Kassandra and
I had been having some issues for a couple years, all the doctors told me it was bc of “premenopause”. I am 49… beginning of last yr I thought I was finally going to be able to breath money wise & then I started having serious bleeding issues. After a could months My gyno office only did an simple ultrasound of my uterus, they said it was probably just cysts. After a couple more months there was a large mass they said was probably just a fibroid. by the end of last yr, they finally scheduled a surgery to remove the mass, but I had to cancel because I couldn’t afford the up front cost of the hospital fee. But the Gyn sent in a biopsy for pathology. It showed signs of cancer so the sent me to a gyno oncologist. A couple more months went by & When I finally had the surgery in February, it ended up being a total hysterectomy. the pathology came back with everything having endometrial
adenocarcinoma. it spread from my cervix through my uterus to my ovaries into a lymph node. Most was still stage 1. But there was a 9″ cancerous tumor that was stage 3 on one ovary. & The oncologist immediately wanted me to do 6 rounds of chemo. Bc it has spread to a lymph node. Thankfully there has been some hardship reductions for my share of the bills after insurance. But I’m actually still just getting bills from the surgery I couldn’t really afford. So I just need a little help with that. Anything would help.
