Rally for Cindy’s Medical Journey and Healing

On June 2nd, after weeks of being sick and not being able to control her bowels, Cindy started to suffer from a respiratory issue which caused her lungs to work hard and fast, leaving her gasping for air. After a little testing, the doctors informed us they did not know how Cindy was alive. For the 4th time this year, she was admitted into the ICU with kidney failure causing acid to build up in her blood with no way to clear it. Her lungs started to work to push it off. At the same time, her system was completely depleted of potassium and magnesium; her electrolyte balance was almost non-existent. While testing positive for pneumonia in both lungs, topped with infection in both lungs, and positive for MRSA in the blood, her lungs began to fill at a fast pace, and they could not get her system up fast enough through IV. She started to get combative; her anxiety was taking over. The doctor told me she was close to passing away and they could not get control over what was going on. With the only option being she needed to be put on life support in order to put the fluids at full speed but it slowed her breathing so the acid could not push off the lungs, the chance of her pulling through was not good. She fought for 7 days. When they went to wake her up, her lungs did not want to start on their own. She has overcome everything thrown at her so far, but the road to recovery is going to be long and hard, not only to kick the multiple infections but also to build back the strength and motor skills she currently has lost due to the sedation. Everyone who knows Cindy knows she is a fighter. She has been through more than her fair share of medical issues, from cancer to intestine removal. Through it all, she has been there for so many people, no questions asked, never asking for anything in return. She would give her last anything for a friend in need. Now she needs your help more than ever to cover any medical expenses, transportation costs back and forth to all her doctor appointments and therapy, and to help secure housing during this long, challenging road to recovery. Anything you can donate, no matter how big or small, will help out greatly. If you can’t afford to donate, please share this with everyone you know and encourage them to share. We all know Cindy would do all she could for us, so now let’s do all we can for her. Thank you.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
