Hey guys, my name is Richard, but I go by Rich. Sunday night (6/8/25) at work, one of my coworkers had an electric longboard which I asked to ride, and I ended up crashing on it and breaking my nose and ankle (Inner Distal Fibula).

I’ve submitted an L&I claim due to not having personal insurance, but it won’t be accepted due to the cause of the injury not being a work-related task. I’ve tried to get state assistance and keep getting denied coverage. The orthopedic surgeon wants to get me into surgery ASAP, but they need 10k upfront to proceed with the urgent surgery. Anything is really appreciated and will help with all medical expenses.
