Kate’s Road to Recovery

Hi, we are Olivia & Andrea. Our dear friend Kate has recently been diagnosed with cancer and will need to undergo significant cardiothoracic surgery this week.

As most of you know, Kate work part-time as a Clinical Psychologist in her private practice, hence does not receive sick pay as she once would have when she worked for the Government in Child Protection for many years. She has already missed quite a bit of work due to the trips to Perth to undergo the diagnosis process and will be out of action for 3-5 days in hospital then all going well a further 8 weeks recovery time.

Kate is a dedicated single parent who has only just months ago finished building/landscaping a new home for her beautiful young son Fin and herself. This was a huge financial undertaking for a single parent who has also experienced significant and unavoidable costs recently in another area of her family life. So this diagnosis could not have come at a worse time.

What many people wouldn’t know about Kate is that she does not charge her cancer clients for therapy, so we think it’s time to pay it forward now she is in this position herself.

Due to the long recovery process after surgery, we are hoping to take as much of the financial stress away for her so she can concentrate all her energy into healing. For many of you who know and love Kate and would like to help, this is a way we can all come together for her at this difficult time.

Liv & Anj xx

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
