Support Dave’s Heart Surgery Recovery

Hi. As probably most everyone knows, Dave is not just my Dad, but much more than that. He’s my kiddos’ Pappy and someone who would help just about anyone who needed it. For as long as I can remember, my Dad has been the one working his butt off to take care of me, my brother, and my Mom… and anyone else who needed it along the way. Even as an adult, my Dad is still always helping me out any way he can. He’s someone who would never ask for help, even now when he really needs it.

My dad was admitted to Nason in May after having difficulties with his breathing. Over the four days he was there, he had multiple procedures, and it was decided he needed to be transferred to Conemaugh for a heart bypass surgery. Due to other health conditions, he was considered high risk and was then transferred to UPMC Presby in Pittsburgh. Dad has been at Presby for two weeks and in that time, has had CTs, MRIs, cardioversions, catheterizations, and probably more I’m missing. His surgery has had to be postponed until his heart was strong enough for surgery. He has been unable to work throughout this time and will need to be off work for a few months after surgery. My mom has been unable to work while she’s managing trips to Pittsburgh to be with Dad, taking care of things with the house, and taking care of my grandma. My brother, my family, and I have helped where we can, but financially things are piling up. My Dad doesn’t have short-term disability or any income while he’s out. This is just to try to help alleviate some of the stress of bills and expenses my parents will have during this time. Any little bit helps or even a prayer is greatly appreciated!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
