My name is Jessica, and I’m asking for help for someone who has been my best friend, my brother in spirit, since we were just 13 years old.
Danny isn’t just anyone, he’s the kind of person who lights up every room. He’s always been funny, effortlessly making people feel safe, comfortable, and seen the minute they meet him. No matter what life threw at me—abandonment, homelessness, even jail—he never left my side. He showed up for me when no one else could, when most people turned away. He’s the reason I made it through some of the darkest parts of my life.
And now he’s the one who needs us.
Recently, Daniel was in a devastating car accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. On May 29th, 2025, his life changed forever. He underwent brain and spinal surgery and is currently in ICU, hooked up to tubes, unable to breathe or eat on his own.
But through all of that, he is still HIM. He remembers everyone. His mind is clear. His humor, his love, his spirit—they are still here.
Even though he cannot speak right now, I can understand him when he fights to get words out through his breath.
What Your Support Will Help With:
Immediate hospital bills and critical care costs
Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for long-term recovery
Medical equipment that will be needed once he can come home
Home modifications to make his living space accessible
Few living costs since he won’t be able to return to work anytime soon
We don’t know what full recovery will look like yet, but we are fighting for every bit of progress. Whether it’s regaining movement, learning to speak again, or just getting him out of the hospital and back home, he deserves the chance to keep living and laughing with all of us.
If you cannot donate, sharing this means the world. Every dollar, every share, and every prayer counts.
This injury doesn’t get the last word. He either beats it, or it goes with him—but it will never own his spirit.
From the bottom of my heart,
Jessica
