Hi, this is Jim with the Eagle Christian Church’s (ECC) Home Handy Care Ministry (H2CM). Many of you know Kristen for her work at ECC as the women’s and connections minister, as well as being the leader of the women’s bible study on Wednesday mornings. Or you may know Jeff from his work as an engineer. No matter how you know them or hear their story, they are a great family who are going through a challenging time, having just received Jeff’s brain cancer diagnosis two weeks ago for a cancer that is non-operable, fast growing, and has very few treatment options.
The H2CM is working with Jeff and Kristen Ward on several home construction projects that will allow Jeff to safely stay at home with his family while he goes through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. As Jeff’s cancer progresses, he is expected to become wheelchair reliant, so our ministry is working with this great family to build access ramps at their house and other projects, allowing all family members to safely move around the house and enjoy their family space, inside and out.
We also expect there will be exceptional costs related to this cancer and cancer treatment, such as medical bills, necessary equipment, and other related expenses. These unexpected expenses will need to be paid, all at a time when the family’s finances are decreasing because of the real impact cancer has on Jeff’s ability to continue working in his career.
We have limited space to fill our construction work party with friends, neighbors, and those who want to help lift up this great family in their time of need, but you can still be part of our support team by donating funds to help pay for all expenses they will bear as Jeff moves through his cancer treatment plan and the path God has set for he and his family. If you want to help and be part of our support team, please donate today and all funds will go to the Ward family, who have approved this message and this support effort.
As a team, we can help relieve some of the challenges and burdens, while embracing the family and showing them how loved they are. Thank you, and with your donation, welcome to the Ward family support team!
