Hi everyone,
My name is Dodi, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing son, Kendrick. Kendrick is a bright, loving, and resilient child who lives with Prader-Willi syndrome — a rare and complex genetic condition that affects his physical health, development, and mobility.
As Kendrick grows, his needs are becoming more demanding, especially when it comes to transportation. Getting him to medical appointments, therapy, school, and family outings has become more and more challenging in a regular vehicle. Lifting and transferring him safely is no longer possible without risk — to him and to us.
We are raising funds to purchase a handicap-accessible vehicle that will allow Kendrick to travel safely and comfortably in his wheelchair. These specially modified vans come equipped with ramps, lifts, and secure seating, but unfortunately, they are very expensive — often costing $30,000–$50,000 or more, even for a used one.
This vehicle wouldn’t just be a van — it would mean freedom, safety, and inclusion for Kendrick. It would mean less stress during daily routines and more opportunities for him to participate in the world around him.
We are doing everything we can as a family, but we cannot do this alone. If you’re able to contribute — whether it’s $5 or $500 — or even just share this campaign, it would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and support Kendrick’s journey.
With gratitude,
The Collins family
