Support a Single Mom’s Fight for Elijah

As many of you know, my son was born with ophthalmology abnormalities that have resulted in him being legally blind. Due to a recent bacterial infection on his corneal transplant, I have had to miss 2 weeks of work and travel to PA 3 times in the past week. I’m expected to be going home today and coming back again this weekend. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to return home because I am a single mother of 3, raising Elijah completely on my own with absolutely no outside help. I need to return to work because I have gone 2 weeks without work or pay!

It really takes me hitting a very low point to turn to people for help; I’d much rather figure it out. But unfortunately, I have hit a point where if I don’t attempt to reach for help, I’m not going to have the funds to make it back here next weekend. I also have to return the second week of July for another week for Elijah to go under anesthesia for steroid injections, which is going to be another week without pay. Unfortunately, I have used all my paid time off being Elijah’s only provider.

I am just asking to raise just enough money for travel, a rental, and a room for the night. Unfortunately, we can’t even get Ronald McDonald’s housing for short-term stays because Elijah is all outpatient and there is a waiting list; you typically have to apply a month or better prior.

Please, if you can find it in your heart, anything helps. I’m even much more comfortable with gas cards or someone even just booking the room and paying for it for us. I want everyone to know this money does without a doubt go towards Elijah and travel funds. If you can’t help because I know times are hard, trust me, even a share and to lift Elijah and me up in your prayers is so appreciated.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
