Help Diane and Ken Swanson Through Tough Times

Family and friends of Diane and Ken Swanson have organized a fundraiser and a bank account to help support them during a difficult time.

On June 10th, Diane suffered a brain hemorrhage and was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, where she has received incredible care. We are so grateful that she survived the initial bleed. However, she is currently required to remain in the ICU for at least two weeks as doctors monitor her for complications.

This situation has drastically increased the significant financial burden that Diane and Ken had already been facing. Ken has been out of work for two years due to a serious accident and skull fracture himself. He is finally scheduled to return to full-time work in July, but considering now two sets of extreme medical bills and the drastically reduced family income for two years, circumstances are quite dire for them.

Any support you can offer to this hardworking couple would mean the world to them and their 16 year old son, Brett.

If you prefer to make a donation to them directly via their credit union, that can be accomplished by going to Great Lakes First Federal Credit Union at 2110 3rd Ave N, Escanaba, MI 49829. Just state that it’s a donation for Diane and Ken Swanson.

If you would like to send Diane a card, they can be addressed to:

St. Vincent Hospital

C/O Diane Swanson

835 S Van Buren St.

Green Bay, WI 54301

Attn: ICU Room 18

Please, no flowers at this time, as the ICU unit does not accept plants. Also, please no visitors at this time- she is going through a very difficult part of her recovery over the next week or so, and mental simulation must remain at a minimum for her. We will update when that changes.

Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
