Hi my name is Jacquilin and I am fundraising on behalf of my friend Tiffany who is currently in a life or death situation with the Canadian Health Care system failing her by not only denying care, medsurge assistance, financial assistance and basic things like responding to emails via healthcare professionals who are in charge of her care but also lawyers as well. This isn’t a case of needing funds because it might help she has been forced into a situation that is causing her to be pushed towards an option of MAID that she does not want due to the lack of basic healthcare and negligence imposing on her human rights! She is only 35 years old and with the ability to have care workers come and assist her to bathe, get dressed and attend appointments and have a basic level of care she can then tackle the impending surgeries that are needed and the aftercare required due to a partial internal decapitation of her skull. Yes you read that right. Fellow EDS Zebra warriors would be well aware of the immense complications with this one diagnosis Tiffany has but numerous more are starting to arise due to the zero healthcare and inability to advocate for herself. She has reached out on TikTok for health with a super viral video yet only a handful of us have tried to start advocating from this godundme, to looking into human rights council ect. Every dollar counts and we are aiming to get enough funds to cover the care needed to get to the level of care required for surgery to repair the internal partial decapitation.
