This is the third time that Beta, my sister, has had HER2+ cancer. This time, it was more aggressive, spreading to various parts of her body, and also causing vision loss. Ultimately, Chris (her husband) can no longer work, as she needs 24-hour care. The cancer initially settled in her spine, causing her to lose movement on the left side of her body (shoulder, arm, hand). As a result, she is unable to walk or sit. She has already started radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which has caused vision loss. For this reason, we need to consult private doctors for specific tests that cannot be performed for free, and this has resulted in huge expenses. In addition, she will need a wheelchair and to adapt her home to this new challenge. After the end of treatment, she will need weekly physiotherapy sessions to try to recover the movements she has lost, and these will probably also be private. There are also expenses for various medications, gas to go to and from the hospital, private consultations and tests, which is why we are counting on your help.
We are immensely grateful for all the support, prayers, positive thoughts and donations! Thank you, from the bottom of my ❤️. Renata
