Help Us Support 3-Year-Old Scotia as She Battles Hydrocephalus
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for Scotia, a beautiful and brave 3-year-old who is currently in the hospital fighting hydrocephalus — a serious condition where fluid builds up in the brain, requiring surgery, constant monitoring, and ongoing care.
Scotia is full of light, strength, and sweetness. No child should have to endure what she’s facing, and watching her go through this has been heartbreaking for her family. But she continues to fight every single day with so much courage.
Her mom has been by her side through it all, while also caring for Scotia’s three older siblings. This family has already experienced deep heartbreak — the father of Scotia’s siblings tragically passed away in a car accident, leaving their mother to raise all four children alone.
Due to the nonstop hospital visits, time away from work, and emotional toll of it all, her mom fell behind on bills and was recently evicted from their home. To make matters worse, everything they owned was thrown away — clothes, furniture, kids’ items — everything.
Right now, this family is doing their best to stay strong, but they are in a place no family should ever have to be in.
We’re asking for monetary donations only at this time to help cover:
• Scotia’s medical care and treatment
• Daily costs like food, transportation, and hospital-related expenses
• Securing safe and stable housing
• Rebuilding the basic foundation this family needs to move forward
Every single dollar helps. If you’re unable to donate, please share this page so others can.
Thank you for standing with Scotia and her family during the most difficult time of their lives. Your kindness, love, and support mean more than words can ever express.
With love and gratitude,
Karla Medcalf (Nana)
