Our 7 year old Maltese, Lola, has been diagnosed with large bladder stones and urethroliths — painful stones in her urethra that are causing her to bleed and struggle every time she tries to urinate. It’s heartbreaking to watch her struggle with this pain.
Without immediate surgery, Lola is at risk of life-threatening complications, including a full urinary tract blockage, kidney failure, and sepsis.
She urgently needs surgery to remove the stones, but the cost of the procedure is estimated at $7,000 — a number far beyond what we can afford on our own.
