On behalf of the Collins family, we are asking for your financial support for our beloved brother, son, and nephew, Joseph F. Collins. Joseph was a long-time resident of Liberia and an active member of his community and church. He played the drums and served as the choir director for “The City of Life, Church of God.”
Joseph lived a fulfilling life until 2022 when his health declined. Our hearts were shattered when we learned that Joseph had a brain lesion (damage to a specific area of the brain). He was diagnosed with a posterior fossa tumor causing fluid buildup in the brain. The family was informed the only way to treat his severe symptoms was through surgery.
With little time and Joseph’s health deteriorating rapidly, our family pooled together financial resources to get Joseph to Ghana for the treatment.
After the surgery, Joseph started to feel like his lively self again until recently when the tumor returned, but more aggressively this time around.
Unfortunately, the medical equipment and facilities needed for further treatment are unavailable in Ghana. So, the doctors recommended sending Joseph somewhere else, with recommendations to India.
In India, he will be able to get radiosurgery to tackle and shrink the rest of the tumor. We are asking for assistance raising money for his flights, lodging, and treatment in India.
We appreciate any support you can provide during this difficult time.
