Angie is the heart of our family—a devoted wife, loving mom to two, and a cherished MeMe to six grandkids who adore her. She’s always put others first, whether it’s caring for her family or welcoming customers with a smile at her barbershop. In May, Angie’s world changed when doctors found two large masses. By June 9th, a biopsy confirmed she has triple negative breast cancer, an aggressive and fast-growing form of the disease. She’s now preparing for an MRI, the placement of a chemo port, and the start of intensive chemotherapy, followed by surgery.
This diagnosis has been overwhelming for Angie, both emotionally and financially. She’s facing the reality of missing significant time at work while undergoing treatment, which means a loss of income on top of mounting medical bills. Angie is deeply worried about how she’ll manage everyday expenses and travel for her care, all while trying to stay strong for her grandkids, who are her greatest joy. Not being able to be in the barbershop and see her customers is also a difficult adjustment for her.
