I look back and see 10,000 things I should have and could have done differently.
I look forward and I see 10,000 things that still need to be done.
Last year, I underwent a spine surgery at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. It was supposed to be routine. Instead, it nearly ended my life. Two induced comas. Three additional spinal surgeries in 9 days. A perforated esophagus. Weeks in ICUs. Infections that ravaged my body. 85 different meds administered.
Damage I’m still recovering from every day.
What was supposed to be a two-day hospital stay turned into the hardest year of my life.
This birthday, I’m making a wish. Not just a wish for support—but a wish for healing.
I’m starting this fundraiser to support my recovery.
This isn’t just an ask—it’s a promise.
If you choose to support me, I won’t just heal—I’ll help others heal too.
I’ll spend the next year not just working on my own recovery, but building a platform to help others who’ve gone through what I have. I want to make sure people know they’re not alone.
Where your support goes:
• Physical & occupational therapy
• Pain management & neurology care
• Trauma-informed mental health support
• Medical equipment, co-pays, and uncovered expenses
• Transportation and home care help
• Advocacy work to pay it forward
Thank you for reading. If you can assist, great—if you can’t with dollars, you can with positive thoughts and sharing.
No matter your contribution, it will be significant!
