Our good friend Abby was in a serious car accident the evening of June 17th with injuries significant enough that she had to be flown off the Olympic Peninsula to a trauma center in Seattle. She’s doing ok, but has a long road of recovery ahead of her.
She had her first procedure completed yesterday, the 18th, just to clean out the wounds in her arm. There are at least 2 more procedures anticipated, one to repair the internal damage and another to graft skin on the arm. At this time, we don’t know how long she will spend in the hospital, but she will need physical therapy going forward. She’ll also be looking at a significant amount of time out of work. This is where she’ll need the most help, keeping up with medical bills and her living expenses for the unforeseen future.
