Aid Bri’s Surgery Recovery & Medical Costs

(THIS IS UPDATED!)

Hi, my name is Bri Sprout I’m 22 years old. This is honestly a long shot, but it doesn’t hurt to try and come on here and be open, honest, and vulnerable to see if anyone is willing to help.

There is kinda a lot to this, so sorry if this turns out kinda lengthy.

As some of you know, I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and a heart condition called sinus tachycardia. Recently, I’ve been experiencing bad heartburn and severe back and neck pain. My doctor and I have done a lot of talking and came to the conclusion that not only do my health conditions cause concern for me and my health, but also me being overweight for my age and height. With these conditions, it’s crucial for me to be healthy physically and mentally.

Secondly, this may be a little uncomfortable for some to read, so I will make sure to give very little detail and keep this part shorter. My doctor and I have also had several conversations about me being large-chested, and as many people, especially women, may know, having breasts, let alone larger ones, is extremely uncomfortable and difficult to live with. My doctor and I have agreed that my larger breasts probably don’t help with my pain in my back, neck, and shoulders. We have also agreed that it’s hard to lose weight with the struggle of being large chested. With all this factors being considered we have both come to the decision for me to get breast reduction surgery. I have reached my BMI goal and my surgery is July 31. This surgery will lead me to be out of work for a little over a month.

Thirdly and lastly, those who are extremely close to me know I’ve struggled with feeling confident about my weight. I’ve struggled with not only feeling mentally well with how I look but also physically. It’s hard for me to be active because of my weight. It’s hard for people to understand when you don’t have to struggle with something like this every day. It’s easy for someone to say, “just go work out” or “go on a diet,” but weight loss isn’t that easy for some people’s body journey. With someone that struggles with fibro and arthritis, it’s really hard for me to work out and be active.

With all of this being said, my doctor prescribed me a weight loss medication called semaglutide I’ve been on this medication for about 5 months now and have lost about 35lbs

Sadly though, my insurance doesn’t cover it. My doctor and I have found the cheapest program. there was a start up fee then I have to continue to pay 385 a month. Even though I work at Amazon I am not capable of paying everything on my own, due to me living on my owe with my boyfriend. I have other responsibilities that wears me down financially. Also I will be having my Brest reduction surgery in a month. When that happens I will be out of work recovering. I don’t want to put that financial burden on my boyfriend. I came on here to ask for help.

I understand if you can’t help financially, I don’t expect anyone to put there money into my journey I’m just posting this for others to have the opportunity to help if they want it. I understand we all have our own lives and financial struggles, even just sharing this post would make a huge impact on my journey to a better life and healthier body.

I ask everyone to please be respectful in the comments. I understand weight loss is a touchy subject with many options. If you don’t support me just simple not donate. Thank you!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
