Hello,
I am setting this up for the support of my parents Steve and Deana Evans. The last couple months he has been experiencing health issues. On the night of June 3rd he was taken to the emergency room and it was determined he needed a more equipped facility and was immediately transfered to Traverse City. There it was discovered he has a life threatening bleeding ulcer and was quickly admitted to ICU due to his severe condition. A procedure was completed to control the bleeding and it was successful. The next few days he moved from ICU and was going to work towards gaining strength. Things took another turn the night of June 12th when the bleeding started again. Another procedure was performed to clip and glue the ulcer to control the bleeding. This procedure was successful and informative to the doctors. They stated they learned in this procedure that the ulcer is very thin and at risk for perforation at any time.
Up to this point, durring the hospital stay, Steve has recieved a total of 15 units of blood.
Currently he is stable and in the hospital working towards healing the ulcer. The doctors say this is going to be a long road, as the ulcer is very large and dangerous.
We ask for prayers for strength and healing. If you are able to donate, the proceeds will be used to help mom with travel expenses and monthly bills. She has been out of work and staying in TC with dad due to his fragile health condition.
Please reach out to Ashley Harwell (daughter) with any questions.
We will update dad’s status as we can, please understand he is not accepting visitors due to his delicate state. However, phone calls are encouraged to help dad continue his fight.
