Hi this is Richard, Jonathan’s grandfather. Jonathan Sirois was involved in a motorcycle accident on Father’s Day. After having dinner with his mom, stepfather, and his bonus brother. When they finished they were all leaving together and he was a passenger on the back of his bonus brother’s motorcycle. They had pulled out of restaurant and as they continued down the road a woman pulled out in front of them which caused them to impact her vehicle. Initially he went to Maine General in Augusta but had to be Life-Flighted to Maine Medical in Portland. He suffered a collapsed lung, a lacerated spleen, broken clavicle, a frontal lobe brain bleed, major concussion, miniature spinal fractures, and massive road rash. He was intubated, given pain meds, and medicine to regulate his blood pressure. After evaluating him they opted to perform a surgical procedure to stabilize his spleen. They kept him sedated and intubated for twenty- four hours. Right now he is stable and headed to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. He will be there for quite some time due to his injuries.
Jonathan is going into his Senior year of high school. He had just finished playing lacrosse and was scouted by three colleges here in Maine. He anticipated playing football in the fall with varsity lacrosse in the spring. He loves lacrosse it’s his passion. He also enjoys helping his dad in his shop working on and rebuilding older cars. He loves hanging out with his friends, girl friend and family. He’s a great and loving brother to his siblings.
Jonathan is looking at a long road of recovery. We are asking for donations, no amount is too small to help with hospital expenses after insurance, hotel stays for parents to be close by, and costs to get him to future appointments while he will be needing physical therapy and rehab for his concussion.
Jonathan and his family are very appreciative of the prayers, messages, cards and donations ♥️
