Help with Medical Recovery & Living Expenses After Two Emergency Surgeries
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times in my life. I recently developed an incarcerated umbilical hernia, which required emergency surgery. I was grateful to avoid needing an ostomy bag, but before I was discharged, I voiced concerns about worsening pain in my surgical area. Unfortunately, the hospital staff dismissed my concerns and denied me further testing or a supervisor consultation.
Shortly after, I was forced to seek emergency care at a different hospital, where a CT scan revealed a serious wound abscess caused by materials left inside during the first surgery. I had to undergo a second emergency surgery just two weeks after the first. I’m now 50 years old, a dedicated care provider, and I haven’t been able to return to work since March 11, 2025.
Currently, I’m receiving painful wound care treatment three times a week. This entire experience has been physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming. I am behind on rent and utilities, and I’m facing a real crisis.
I am humbly asking for your help. My goal is to raise $9,000 to catch up on critical living expenses while I heal and recover. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to me during this time of transition and healing.
Thank you so much for your support, prayers, and kindness.
God bless you.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Latacha Haynes
