Amberly and Reese Faircloth

Hi friends,

We’re Taylor and Christina, friends of Amberly and Reese through our small group. We’re sharing their story with heavy but hopeful hearts, believing that community can show up in powerful ways, and believing in miracles.

In May 2022, Reese discovered a hard mass in his upper left leg. Concerned, he told Amberly, who also felt it and encouraged him to get it checked out. After a series of scans and doctor visits, Reese was diagnosed with a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor on his S2 nerve.

With so much uncertainty ahead, Reese and Amberly chose love and faith. In July 2022, they got married, committing to each other and putting their trust fully in Jesus.

Reese began proton radiation therapy that August, completing 7½ weeks of treatment. For a time, the outlook was hopeful—routine MRIs every few months showed the tumor was shrinking.

But in April 2025, everything changed. The tumor had started growing again. A biopsy confirmed the worst: the cancer had returned.

Now, Reese is facing three major and life-altering surgeries:

Surgery 1: Removal of his bowels and placement of a permanent colostomy bag

Surgery 2 (posterior approach): Total sacrectomy and removal of the S2 nerve root, which will permanently impact bowel/bladder function, sexual function, feeling from the lower back to the feet, and movement in his toes and heels

Surgery 3 (anterior approach): Completion of nerve dissection and reconstruction

These surgeries are incredibly complex and come with a long road to recovery. Through it all, Reese and Amberly continue to trust God and hold tightly to each other.

They need our help—financially and prayerfully. Your support will go toward medical expenses, home modifications to make their space wheelchair-accessible, and the many essential supplies they’ll need for daily life and healing.

If you’re able to give, any amount is deeply appreciated. Thank you for walking with them during this painful and uncertain time. Your generosity, love, and prayers mean more than words can express.

With love,

Christina and Taylor

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
