My name is Jessie. I’m here because my 12-year-old dog needs to have his toe amputated. It’s possible it’s cancerous so time is urgent. Either way, he will need surgery. He cannot put much weight on his paw, and there is so much swelling. Brewster was a rescue dog that I got for my disabled son (my son has Spina Bifida). Brewster was 1 when we got him, and my son was 7. They are best friends. Aside from the toe issue, he is mostly healthy still. He has a lot of life left in him still, and I’d hate to lose him because we cannot afford the surgery. I’ve definitely learned my lesson, and any future pet will have health insurance.
