Why I’m Raising Funds – A Message from My Heart
A Personal Note
By Sabrina Montgomery
My mother is 85 years old.
She has survived cancer, pneumonia, a ventilator, and a broken femur — and she is still here, still fighting with quiet grace.
And I am her only caregiver.
There are no nurses on rotation. No paid team. Just me.
I feed her, lift her, soothe her pain, talk to her when she’s afraid, and sit beside her through the long nights when neither of us can sleep. I do this while trying to keep my work going, while building a vision that’s been two years in the making — because I know I’m not the only one.
Too many caregivers are doing this alone.
Too many elders are suffering in silence.
Too many people are running on empty — emotionally, financially, spiritually.
That’s why I created Salus Fons Juventutis.
It means “The Healing Fountain of Youth.”
This wellness platform is more than an app. It’s a sanctuary. A place where music, meditation, stories, and connection come together to nourish the ones who are always giving — and often forgotten.
It will serve:
Elders, who deserve dignity and peace.
Caregivers, who deserve support, not shame.
Young people, seeking tools for emotional health.
Anyone in need of stillness, strength, or a soft place to land.Five years ago, my life changed.
Not in a flash of lights on stage, but in the quiet, fluorescent-lit room of a hospital, where my mother — the woman who raised me, the soul who always kept going — was fighting to breathe. She survived Cancer,
I had sung under chandeliers in foreign lands, heard applause in languages I didn’t speak, and shared music with strangers who became family for a night. But nothing prepared me for what it means to be a caregiver. No one trains you for the slow grief of watching someone you love fade… while you still have to keep the lights on, cook the meals, pay the bills, and try not to cry.
Through this journey, I discovered something sacred:
Wellness is not a luxury. It’s a lifeline.
I created Salus Fons Juventutis because I know how lonely caregiving can feel. I know what it’s like to lose your sense of self while pouring everything into someone else. I know how healing music can be when you haven’t had a full night’s sleep in months. I know how one kind word — one breath — can carry you through a very dark hour.
This is not just an app.
This is a movement of care, dignity, and soulfulness — for elders, caregivers, creatives, dreamers, and anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed by life but kept going anyway.
This project has been two years in the making. Every meditation, every affirmation, every playlist, every feature is being built with love, intention, and real-world empathy. I want this platform to serve the entire arc of life — from vibrant young souls seeking balance, to elders seeking comfort, to the invisible heroes caring for them.
Now I need your help.
I’m raising $50,000 to:
Keep a roof over my head during development
Launch our social media and outreach efforts
Pay for technical support, video/audio production, and basic infrastructure
Finally bring this vision to life after years of personal sacrifice
If you’ve ever been a caregiver…
If you’ve ever felt lost and needed a voice to remind you of your worth…
If you believe we all deserve to age with grace and be supported through every chapter of life…
Then please consider giving. Or investing. Or simply sharing.
Because this isn’t just about me.
It’s about all of us — and the village of care we’re building, together.
With deepest gratitude and hope,
Sabrina Montgomery
