Hi, my name is Brock.
I live in Seattle and love spending my free time on adventures with my dog Coconut. This spring I had three unexpected and severe seizures that changed everything and has limited my life over the past few months.
After being rushed to the hospital, doctors at UW Medicine discovered a mass of veins bleeding into my brain, a condition called a cavernous malformation. To prevent further damage, my neurosurgeon recommended immediate brain surgery. On May 12th, I underwent a craniotomy to remove the malformation.
The surgery was a success, and I’m incredibly grateful to be recovering. I’ve been deeply moved by the love and support from friends and family over the past couple months. So many people have asked how they can help. The truth is, covering the growing medical costs and giving myself space to heal without the pressure of jumping back into full time work is what would help most right now.
While insurance covered part of it, I still have a number of incoming bills from the hospital, imaging, anesthesia, and follow up care.
If you’re able to contribute or share this fundraiser, I’d be incredibly grateful. Thank you for the care, kindness, and support, it’s made a hard experience a little lighter to carry.
With love,
Brock
