Hi there!
My name is Emma. My incredible girlfriend Sasha has been struggling with her health and finances for a long time now, and it has recently snowballed.
Sasha’s autism and sensory issues made it difficult to brush her teeth when she was younger, and she was unfortunately never diagnosed and helped through that as a child. When she grew older and learned the gravity of dental health she pushed through her sensory issues and took care of her teeth as best as she could (more meticulously than anyone I’ve ever known), but that care could not make up for the damage done when she was younger.
She has been losing significant, large pieces of her teeth and dealing with excruciating pain for a while now. She’s been trying to save up money for the many expensive dental surgeries needed, but life happens as it always does, and her health has only gotten worse as she’s been unable to pay for her teeth.
Recently her car has begun to give out on her, and her dental issues are worse than ever before. To add on to this, Sasha suffers from a rare throat condition known as EOE (eosiniphilic esophagitus), which makes her options for eating EXTREMELY limited as she’s allergic to MANY different foods. This lack of nutrition has left her severely underweight.
Compounding that onto her teeth problems, she’s unable to eat even MORE foods because many foods will damage her teeth or cause her severe pain.
This fund will go exclusively towards the costs associated with her dental health and surgeries so that she may live without pain or fear of further tooth damage while trying to sustain herself.
Please help Sasha take care of her teeth so that she has one less thing to worry about in these scary times. Please help her continue to be able to eat the few things she can so that she does not get sicker.
Anyone who has known her even tangentially knows what a kind heart she has, and how selflessly she has taken care of me during my own chronic physical and mental health struggles.
I know times are tough. *Any* contribution is appreciated, even if it’s just sharing it to your story or sending it to your loved ones. Thank you so much for lending your time in reading this post, and for even considering donating. It means the world to both of us.
