Everett’s Miracle in Motion

Help Support Baby Everett’s Journey

As Everett’s family, we want to share a piece of our story and humbly ask for your continued prayers and support as we walk through this challenging journey together.

In January, Bailey and Gloria received heartbreaking news—baby Everett had been diagnosed with a rare congenital condition called Pentalogy of Cantrell. This syndrome affects the development of the heart, chest, and abdominal wall. Based on early ultrasounds, doctors believed the diagnosis was likely terminal, and that palliative care might be the only option after delivery.

In March, they were referred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, one of the few places in the country with experience treating this rare diagnosis. After a full day of imaging and consultations with a team of specialists, Bailey and Gloria were finally given a bit of hope.

While Everett does have several heart and chest defects, many are considered minor and may only require monitoring after birth. The most serious concern is a large abdominal defect called an omphalocele, where his abdominal organs are growing outside his body in a sac. Thankfully, the team at Cincinnati has created a treatment plan that gives Everett a real chance—but it will involve a lengthy NICU stay, potential surgeries, and many unknowns.

Gloria will be relocating to Cincinnati this week and staying there until Everett is born around mid-July, while Bailey remains home working to support their family. The shift from two incomes to one, along with the added expenses of travel, housing, and medical care, is understandably overwhelming.

We want to help ease the load on Bailey and Gloria so they can focus on Everett and his treatment. The financial and emotional burden of this journey is heavy, but your support will help lift some of that weight, allowing them to focus on what matters most—their sweet boy’s health and recovery.

So many of you have already shown such amazing support, and we are deeply grateful. Your prayers, kind words, and generosity have carried this family through the darkest moments—and we are so thankful to have such a strong, loving village surrounding us.

If you feel led to help, please consider donating, sharing this page, or continuing to lift Everett and his parents up in prayer. Every bit of support—financial or spiritual—means more than words can express.

With love and gratitude,

The Griffieth-Gibson Bunch
