Hello friends and family,
This is a hard one to write — and you know I love words! The past few years have been challenging, humbling, and yet full of God’s provision. In 2022, I lost my job and, like many times before, I was confident another opportunity would come quickly. But this time, that wasn’t God’s plan. I faced a difficult season of financial instability, and it was only through the help of family, friends, and God’s grace that I found a new path.
I’m now working as a Mortgage Broker, helping families with home loans and refinances. As a self-employed person, my income is seasonal and my insurance coverage is minimal. Yet, God continues to provide.
Now, I find myself entering a new and unexpected season — one that brings both fear and faith. I have been diagnosed with Stage 3a Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, with lymph node involvement. It’s a large tumor in my left breast, and the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes.
The treatment plan is extensive:
6 months of chemotherapy
Surgery to remove the lymph nodes
Likely a double mastectomy due to family history
Hormone therapy and radiation
Followed by reconstructive surgery
This journey will span the next year and will cross two insurance deductible cycles. As I go through treatment, working consistently will be difficult. The mounting medical bills, housing expenses, and basic living costs are overwhelming.
I’m humbling myself to ask for help — financial, practical, and most of all, spiritual.
If God places it on your heart to give, I would be incredibly grateful. Whether it’s a one-time gift, a monthly contribution, or help with meals, rides, errands, or even just sitting with me during treatment — every bit matters.
If giving financially isn’t possible, your prayers mean everything. I believe in a God who heals, who sustains, and who uses His people to carry each other through. Your support, encouragement, and prayers will be my strength during this season.
I’ve also started a blog to share updates, encouragement, and testimonies along the way. I’d love for you to follow my journey, send a word of encouragement, or share this message with others who may feel led to help.

Thank you for walking this path with me. I trust God will provide — through your love, your prayers, and your kindness.
With love and gratitude, Your Sister in Christ,
Jennifer
