Heidi’s urgent need for a cure necessitates immediate action

Help Heidi Fight Breast Cancer — A Family in Urgent Need

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Leilani, I am a close friend to this amazing and beautiful family that urgently needs our help, here is what has happened to them in the past few years…

Coming from:

My name is Alejandro and I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing wife, Heidi, who is now facing her second battle with cancer—this time a far more aggressive form. After nearly 10 years of remission, the disease has returned, and we’re in a race against time to get her the care she urgently needs.

Unfortunately, we’ve been through a series of overwhelming hardships that have left us emotionally and financially exhausted.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our once-thriving catering business lost 95% of its revenue. We managed to stay afloat through 2020 by using our savings, but when 2021 brought the same bleak outlook, we were forced to sell our home in Washington state and relocate to Idaho with the hope of rebuilding.

We used the proceeds from our home sale to buy land and hire a contractor to build a modest house. Tragically, the man we hired turned out to be a professional conman. He took the majority of our funds and disappeared—never having built a single house. We later learned he’s defrauded at least 13 other families.

With almost nothing left and a mountain of uncertainty, we made the bold decision to build the house ourselves. With faith, the help of friends, and a lot of YouTube tutorials, we managed to construct a home that, while unfinished, is warm, dry, and has a roof over our heads.

In the winter of 2022, our daughter was born—just as Heidi’s mother was losing her battle with illness. In a moment of both joy and sorrow, she held her new granddaughter and passed away 24 hours later.

I worked every waking hour to finish the house enough to move out of the borrowed RV where we were living. But in focusing solely on survival, we fell behind financially. We couldn’t revive our catering business fast enough, and I had to take construction jobs in Spokane—driving 3 hours a day just to provide.

With our debts piling up, we’ve now been sued by two credit card companies and still owe close friends who loaned us the money that made our home possible. We sold two of our cars so I could complete training to become a flight instructor but work in that field hasn’t come as quickly as promised. Right now, I’m juggling three jobs while trying to keep our catering business alive.

Then, the news we feared most: Heidi’s cancer returned.

We’ve managed a few small fundraisers, but they haven’t been enough to cover the high costs of her care. My mother is here helping care for our children while I work, and Heidi undergoes treatment. But we’re at a breaking point—emotionally, physically, and financially.

This fundraiser is our last, humble plea for help.

If you’re able, we ask you to contribute whatever you can. Every dollar goes directly toward Heidi’s treatment, transportation, medical bills, and keeping our family afloat during this critical time. If you can’t give, please share our story. Prayers, kindness, and any support are deeply appreciated.

With all our hearts, thank you for walking alongside us.

Please keep Alejandro, Heidi and their 3 beautiful children in your prayer and thoughts. Again if you can’t help financially, please share! You never know there may be someone out there that can.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
