Help a Mom of 5 Get the Lifesaving Care She Needs

My dear friend, Heather Luke, and her amazing family are facing an incredibly difficult journey, and they could really use our support to help get them through it.

After years of managing chronic health problems, Heather’s kidneys have completely stopped working. She has been put on the national kidney transplant list, and now spends nearly half of every week in dialysis, just to stay alive. On top of that, her heart was infected by bacteria that continues to grow. Because of this, doctors have told her she needs heart surgery soon as well.

Heather and her husband Allen spent much of the 2024 holiday season in the hospital, away from their family, trying to stabilize her health. They are parents to five of the most amazing kids around, ranging from middle school through college. Since then, the bills have only continued to grow, and the road ahead includes a kidney transplant, heart surgery, travel for specialized care, loss of income from missed work, and ongoing treatment.

Heather and Allen are doing everything they can to keep life steady for their family, but despite their sincere efforts, the financial burden is becoming overwhelming.

If you know the Luke family, you know they would much rather be helping others than asking for it themselves. This family isn’t looking for handouts, but they never imagined things would come to this.

If you are not able to give right now, please share this page with others. It can make such a big difference. If you are in a position to contribute, know that every dollar truly does help. Please help us share hope by standing with this family while they navigate such an incredibly challenging time.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
