Hi friends,
As most of you know, my sister Ali delivered her second child, Bodie, at 30 weeks gestation by emergency C-section. A few weeks into Bodie’s life, my sister noticed slight twitching movements and advocated for her son to get more testing done. EEG testing was performed, and our nightmare became true. Bodie was having seizures, sometimes even every 5 minutes. Bodie was soon diagnosed with KCNT1 epilepsy, which is a very rare (only 3,000 cases known globally) genetic mutation. Bodie is now 10 weeks old and still in the NICU. Recently, he was transferred to Stanford Medical Center in hopes of finding better treatment options, and hopefully getting him home as soon as possible. Ali is now living in Stanford, 3 hours away from home with her 3-year-old daughter, unable to work. This has been unbelievably hard on Ali and Connor in every way, along with hospital bills coming in now also. I created this fundraiser to ease the financial burden off of them while they figure out their new normal. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us, loved us, and prayed for us during the worst time of our lives. Through it all, we continue to believe God has a plan. Thank you
