Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of our dear friend, Amanda Abell—a woman who has selflessly poured love, strength, and support into the addiction and recovery community for years. If you’ve ever met Amanda, you know her heart: she’s the one who shows up when others don’t, the one who listens without judgment, and the one who reminds you that you can get through the darkness.
Right now, Amanda is facing one of the hardest chapters of her life. She’s recently undergone multiple surgeries related to serious kidney complications and is currently relearning how to walk. Just take that in for a second—she is literally having to teach her body how to move again. Despite her strength, this journey has been grueling.
Amanda has not been able to work for over a year due to her health, and the medical and prescription bills are piling up fast. She has applied for disability, but as many of us know, that process can be long and frustrating. And in the meantime, she’s trying to survive—not just physically, but emotionally and financially.
I’m asking our community to come together for someone who has given so much of herself to others. Whether it’s $1, $10, or just a message of encouragement, every little bit helps. Even if you’re not able to donate, please consider:
• Giving her a call to check in
• Offering a ride to the store or a meeting
• Sitting with her for a visit, sharing a laugh, or just letting her know she’s not alone
Amanda has been a blessing to so many of us. Now it’s our turn to be a blessing to her.
Please donate if you’re able, and share this with others in your circle. Let’s surround Amanda with the love, care, and support she’s always given so freely.
