Hi, my name is Averi Isabella, and I’m reaching out on behalf of a sweet one-year-old boy named Lucas and his incredible mom, a devoted single mother of two young children.
Lucas has been battling chronic illness for much of his short life. He has suffered from constant colds, repeated flu infections, and multiple cases of RSV, which have resulted in countless ER visits and sleepless nights. Recently, he underwent a procedure at Seattle Children’s Hospital to have ear tubes placed, a step hoped to bring some relief and reduce the frequency of infections.
But even this milestone came with heartbreak — Lucas was so sick leading up to the surgery that doctors nearly had to cancel the procedure altogether. Thankfully, it went ahead, but even after surgery, he continues to struggle with multiple viruses. His little body is still fighting, and the road to recovery has proven to be much longer and harder than anyone hoped.
Lucas’s mom has been his constant — by his side through every fever, every trip to the ER, every tear. As a single mom to two little ones, she’s juggling the impossible: caring for a chronically ill baby, supporting an older child, attending medical appointments, and managing basic needs, all while facing the heavy emotional and financial strain this journey has brought.
This fundraiser is to support Lucas and his family with medical costs, travel to Seattle Children’s Hospital, and essential living expenses while they work toward healing. Any amount helps and brings much-needed relief to a family that has been through so much.
