Help Brian Recover and Get Back on His Feet

My name is Brian Neal Mason, and I’m reaching out for help after a series of medical and financial setbacks that have left me struggling to get by. Last August, I went to the doctor for severe swelling in my left leg. Unfortunately, the care I received made things worse—an ace bandage was wrapped too tightly, cutting into my leg and causing two deep wounds. Despite multiple visits to clinics and emergency rooms, my condition worsened, and I eventually needed surgery and a long hospital stay. Now, I’m receiving ongoing wound care at Emory Medical Center in Atlanta, with home health nurses visiting regularly.

This medical crisis has taken a huge toll on my life. I can’t stand on my leg, cook, or do basic chores. I’ve fallen behind on rent and can’t work due to my injury. My car, which I rely on for doctor visits and daily needs, has broken down multiple times—first the fuel pump, now the transmission and engine issues. I’ve spent what little money I had trying to fix it, but it’s still not running. Without reliable transportation, I can’t get to my medical appointments or access hot meals. I also need an electric wheelchair and a vehicle large enough to transport it, but I can’t afford either on my own.

My family is not able to support me, and my church hasn’t been able to help. I’m asking for help to cover my rent, secure a reliable car, and get the medical equipment I need to regain some independence. Any support will make a real difference in helping me get back on my feet and manage my ongoing medical needs.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
