Help Bring Zerious Home to Atlanta

Rodney and Sharon Fordham - Help Bring Zerious Home to Atlanta

My name is Rodney F. from Dallas, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your compassion and support during an incredibly painful time.
On Wednesday, July 15, our beloved brother Zerious rushed to the hospital after experiencing extreme head pain. We later learned that he had suffered multiple mini strokes throughout the day. Over the next few days, his condition continued to decline, and he ultimately experienced a major brain bleed that caused a severe stroke and has been declared brain dead.
Zerious was a vibrant, colorful soulβ€”the kind, giving person whose presence could fill a room, even when he didn’t say much. He had big dreams, quiet ambitions, and a heart that touched people everywhere he went. Though he was private by nature, he was deeply loved by so many. His family, friends, and community all felt the warmth of his spirit and the impact of his life.
Zerious chose to be an organ donor, and on Saturday, July 25, he was transported from the hospital by Southwest Transplant Alliance for organ evaluation and recovery here in Dallas. Over the next couple of days, this process will continue, and once it is complete, he will be officially pronounced deceased.
When that moment comes, the family’s greatest wish is to bring Zerious home to Atlanta, Georgia, where his story began, next to his father’s resting place, and loved ones can say their final goodbyes. The cost of transporting him home and arranging his funeral is more than the family can manage alone.
We are humbly asking for your support to help take Zerious home and assist with funeral costs. Every dollar donated will go directly to the funeral home chosen by the family.
We are reaching out to his friends, loved ones, and community for support. Every contributionβ€”no matter the sizeβ€”will go directly toward bringing Zerious home and honoring him with the dignity, love, and respect he deserves.
Thank you for your compassion, prayers, and support during this devastating time. Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser to help bring Zerious home.

Your kindness will help this family through the hardest chapter of their lives
