Hi, my name is Mike Bales, and I’m raising funds for my mother, Callie Bales, who is currently battling Stage 1 lung cancer—and at the same time, fighting to stay in her home.
Since her diagnosis in early 2025, Callie has had to attend 1–2 doctor’s appointments every week, missing valuable time at work. The missed income caused her to fall behind on rent and bills, and now she’s facing eviction—all while preparing for lung cancer surgery and treatment.
Callie is a proud mother of two—me and my sister—and the kind of woman who finds joy in gardening, laughter, and making others feel welcome. Even now, her sense of humor and strength shine through.
