Help Craig Recover from Cruise Heart Attack

Hi all! My name is Lindsay and I am here to try to take some of the financial burden off of the two people who will give the shirts off their back for those they love. What started out as a dream cruise vacation for my two parents who were celebrating both of their 60th birthdays very quickly turned into a complete nightmare for our whole family as our favorite guy, my dad Craig had a heart attack on the cruise ship in foreign waters. My dad was treated immediately by the ICU team on the cruise ship but after two doses of clot busting medication and my dad showing no signs of improvement my parents were quickly evacuated off the cruise ship by the Canadian coast guard and then life flighted to Royal Jubilee hospital here in Victoria Canada. My dad received an angiogram Tuesday night and had an extremely large stent placed in his LAD, at the time of stent placement his LAD was around 85% blocked with small clots. The doctors believe that at the time of the heart attack his LAD aka the widows maker artery was closer to 98% blocked and without the quick action of the ICU doctors my dad would likely not be with us today. His road to recovery is long as he will need another stent placed into his right arteries once he is back home in the states. My parents are currently in Canada for the next 6 days until my dad is cleared to fly home on June 14th. My mom was brilliant and did purchase travel insurance but due to the fact that the large hospital stay and the fact that heart attack happened on the cruise ship within the ICU that did require a full payment before they were allowed to leave the ship they will be left with financial hardship. My dad will be off of work for some time as we figure out these next steps for his health. My parents are the kindest most giving people I know and I know they are so loved by many.
