My name is Deven Frost. You might remember me as Deven Grady when I was a child. I’ve always done my best to fight through my health struggles. But right now, I need help.
I was born with multiple congenital heart defects. I’ve managed them my whole life. I was also born with Gilbert’s Syndrome. But now, something new and much more frightening has started happening — and it’s happening fast.
In just a short time, I’ve lost almost 50 pounds without even trying. My heart, which was stable before, is now showing enlargement. My doctors are extremely concerned, and I’ve been referred to specialists several hours away in Oklahoma City for urgent evaluation, tests, and care.
The problem is, I can’t even get there.
My only vehicle has broken down with a spun rod bearing. The repair will cost around $600, and without it, I physically cannot make the trip to Oklahoma City for these appointments. Once I arrive, I’ll be admitted into the hospital for the workup and treatment I desperately need — but I have no way to get there without help. I am scared. I don’t know what these tests will show. But what I do know is that if I can’t get there, I won’t even have a chance to find out.
I’m reaching out for any help with:
The repair cost to get my vehicle running.
Gas to make the trip.
Basic travel expenses to get safely to the hospital.
Anything helps. A share, a donation, a prayer, all of it means more than I can put into words. Thank you for helping me take the next step toward answers, toward treatment, and hopefully toward healing. My family needs me.
