Help Eric Carnahan Live Fully with Dialysis

KINDNESS FOR KIDNEYS

My name is Doug Carnahan,

I am raising funds once again, to help my son (Eric Carnahan), get through another challenging time in his life. As most of you know, Eric was diagnosed with a treatable but incurable cancer (multiple myeloma). In 2021 he received a life saving bone marrow transplant and is still receiving maintenance chemotherapeutic treatments every other week to keep him cancer free or until a cure is found.

Unfortunately, the cancer gave Eric chronic kidney disease. When he was first diagnosed with cancer his kidney impairment was stage 3. Eric is now at end stage kidney disease which will require him to start dialysis very soon. The goal is for Eric to do his dialysis at home (5 days per week) so the treatments are more controllable and sterile. The dialysis will improve his overall health tremendously by eliminating harmfull toxins from his body. The long term plan is to be on dialysis for a few years and eventually get a kidney transplant from a living donor.

The reason I am making a fundraiser page for Eric is to raise enough money to purchase Eric A small tow behind camper and some funds to alleviate the burdens that this type of lifestyle change comes with. The goal is to do his dialysis in a camper at home and also so he can travel with it. His ultimate goal is to raise $40,000 to purchase the camper and retro fit it to make is safe and functional for dialysis. One of Eric’s fears is being unable to travel due to dialysis. A camper will allow for him to have the room for all of his dialysis equipment and a space that is dedicated solely for dialysis. The dialysis equipment and supplies take up a lot of space and there isn’t much room where he resides with his family.

Any donations given would be helpful in obtaining his goal and beneficial to help improve the quality of life for Eric during this time.

He told me to tell all of you that he still plans to continue in his artistic endeavors and is also planning on writing his first non fiction book starting this summer. He also wants me to thank you all for taking the time to read this.

Warmest wishes,

Doug Carnahan

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
