Hello, my name is Jennifer Hayes. I have been living with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) for the past 14 years. CRPS is a debilitating neurological disorder that causes constant, severe pain and swelling.
I have seen countless doctors and tried every treatment available to me, but nothing has worked. Some treatments even made things worse. Since 2013, I have been confined to a wheelchair. Simple tasks like bathing or getting dressed have become exhausting. Daily life is a constant struggle.
For a long time, I honestly believed this was how my life would always be; isolated by pain, unable to enjoy the most basic moments with my loved ones.
But now, I have hope.
Researchers in Italy have developed a treatment for CRPS that is showing real promise. Patients who received this treatment have regained mobility and are living pain-free lives. This could change everything for me.
Unfortunately, because the treatment is outside the U.S., my insurance will not cover it. That is why I am reaching out.
I know this is a big ask, but this opportunity could give me my life back. It could let me do something as simple and meaningful as hugging my son again—without pain.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any support you can offer means the world to me.
