Hi, my name is Jeremy, and I’m starting this fundraiser for someone who means the world to me—my incredible mom, Jimmie Sue Kornegay.
Just a few days ago, we received devastating news: my mom needs emergency quadruple heart bypass surgery. This was completely unexpected and has shaken our family to the core. She’ll be out of work for several months, followed by a long road of rehabilitation and recovery.
As if that wasn’t enough, she was also recently diagnosed with diabetes and will require lifelong insulin treatment. This has been a lot for her to take in all at once—and even more difficult as she tries to stay strong for everyone else.
My mom has always been the one to care for others, never asking for anything in return. But now, she’s the one who needs help. We’re not used to asking, but in this moment, we’re humbly reaching out.
